by Robert M

A black man prepares himself for a future of equality through reincarnation.

Mood - Library: I used Shakespeare text in the film that I pulled from my library. Goal - Girl holding bird: I used flight as the goal of the character. Flight from his current situation. Discovery - Leaf: This solidified the ending of the film for me. A leaf must fall off a tree. Backstory - Edge of Water: She has always had a choice to jump or not to jump. Character - Man in bathroom mirror: Character sees one thing, we see another. Obstacle - Water in head: Nourishment, relief, or death. Relationship - smoke: Characters relationship with his surroundings. Setting - Skyline: NYC rooftop skyline. The Unknown - Moon: Heaven. Time - Man sitting on chair: Eternity. Discovery(again) - Leaf: The leaf will grow again.

Great work, man. That was evocative, disturbing and political all at the same time. An act of love. What better way to respond to Trayvon's tragedy. Well done.
