By all means, I am not taking any credit or wanting to take anything away from Allan Grant's original photo or concept. I am not selling this photo nor have I ever submitted any photos to any photo contest before. My boyfriend and I saw his photo a while back, thought it was a great concept, and wanted to re-create a more modern version for ourselves to print and hang on our wall as an awesome "couples" photo, which we did. (yes, I am the woman in the photo/photographer and that is really my boyfriend) I then came across this contest and thought it would be an awesome concept to help inspire a short film. As the double shadows which appear to be mirror images are completely genuine & unaltered, this is a one in a million shot, I probably couldn't re-create it if i tried. With that unique element and connection, I feel it offers a variety of interpretations and that it is more than just a remake of an old photo.

What does this have to do with the theme "Discovery?"  Its goofy, not discovery of anything.

Is this supposed to be a remake of Allan Grant's famous photo from 1955?

@Sergio C. Hi Sergio - this one winner was hand-picked by Ron Howard. Whereas the Celebrity Directors will choose one winner from each other theme to inspire their movies, this photo will be used to inspire all the films. Thanks so much.

Why does this theme, Discovery, have only one winner when all the others have multiple?
