Thank you for your photograph, Kayla.  To me, this photograph represents the struggle that all worthwhile projects take to get the job done.  That is why I selected this photograph as inspiration for my film, "Ticket to Heaven."

Could just be approaching the surface.

There's a sense of quite defeat or a willingness to go with the fall rather than fight it.  By the image name "PAUSE" - and the light in the night, we are provided with insight to know this man's troubles are only temporary.  Very nice.

This one pulls me in every time I look at it. I agree with Susan D & Susan C's assessments!

I love the quiet of this shot...the lighting is perfect...the boarder's struggle is there...I'm a finalist in mood with Star Lily and those perfect moments that come together for us to photograph are a gift. Well done!

I love the sense of his momentary isolation and the feeling of momentary indecision -- get right up, or rest on the knees a bit longer? Great job, Kayla!

I think this photo is amazing. I imagine a lost person stuck underground (an avalanche perhaps?), and it is very powerful. Even though, in reality, it is snowboarder doing an ordinary run on the night ski slope, Kayla has created a masterpiece of emotion and drama, using her trained eye and knack for telling the story. Wow. I hope you win!

I enjoyed looking at the difference in the shadows of the snow. Front, middle, back.   Keep up the good work. Was the boarder posed?   Enjoy those College Years!!!!

I love the way you are one with your lens, Kayla.  I find no better feeling than when you know that you have captured a moment that is creative and impactful.  Great job.
